Mouse & keyboard shortcuts

You can use the following mouse and keyboard shortcuts to make your planogramming experience more productive.

Note: Keyboard shortcuts are not case sensitive in PlanogramBuilder. You can use them either in lower or upper case.

A

Applies Default view

B

Activates Edit bays.

C (held pressed)

Temporarily disables Collisions (Settings) (only while holding the key pressed). Useful when moving items to prevent pushing other items.

D

Toggles View dimensions.

E

Toggles View edges.

F

Activates Field of view.

G

Toggles View grid.

H

Toggles Orthographic view.

I

Activates Edit products and accessories (to work with Products and Accessories).

K

Toggles View peg hooks.

L

Toggles Project item list.

N

Activates Insert generic product.

O

Activates Orbit.

P

Activates Pan.

R

Activates Edit room elements.

S

Activates Edit bay components.

T

Applies Top view.

U

Applies Turn upside down.

V

Toggles Schematic view.

W

Activates Walk.

Z

Activates Zoom.

Delete

Deletes the selected item(s):

Enter

General: Confirms changes in edit boxes. For example, after typing a shelf dimension, press Enter to apply the new value.

Database item list:

List of projects: Opens the selected project.

Esc

General: Exits Full screen.

Text boxes: Cancels a typed value if the cursor is still in the edit box and the value hasn't been applied yet.

Open, Manage, Save as, Settings: Closes the pane, but only before using your mouse on any user interface element of the pane.

Left arrow

For selected product(s): Tip over to left (left).

Walk: turns left.

Right arrow

For selected product(s): Tip over to right (right).

Walk: turns right.

Up arrow

For selected product(s): Tip over backward (to the back).

Walk: moves forward.

Lists and catalogs: Moves the focus one row up.

Down arrow

For selected product(s): Tip over forward (forward).

Walk: moves backward.

Lists and catalogs: Moves the focus one row down.

Space (held pressed)

Pressing the space bar temporarily slows down the mouse; this lets you achieve a better precision with many tools, such as when moving items with Edit products and accessories, or when using Zoom, etc.

Tab

Various panes: moves focus to the next GUI element.

Catalog lists: moves focus down in the classification levels.

Redo (Edit): re-applies operations that were canceled by Undo (Edit).

Walk: looks up / down

Various panes: move focus to the previous GUI element.

Catalog lists: move focus up in the classification levels.

Minus (-)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, decrements the number of Facings deep.

Note: There is always at least one product left.

Plus (+)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, increments the number of Facings deep.

Note: Once the product has been placed as many times as possible in the available depth, the value is reset to auto.

Space + Minus (-)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, decrements the number of Facings wide.

Note: There is always at least one product left.

Space + Plus (+)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, increments the number of Facings wide.

Shift + Minus (-)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, decrements the number of Facings high.

Note: There is at least one product left.

Shift + Plus (+)
on numpad

For the selected product(s) in a planogram, increments the number of Facings high.

Ctrl + Left mouse button drag

Duplicates objects with the following editing tools:

Press Ctrl before clicking on the object and it will be duplicated when you start moving it.

Shift + Left mouse button drag a product from Catalog of products

Changes Behavior for the dragged product:

  • If defined as standard in the database: switches to pegged.
  • If defined as pegged in the database: switches to standard.

This is convenient to quickly place a product from the catalog on peg / shelf when it was not defined as such.

Shift + Left mouse button move product(s) with Edit products and accessories.

Changes Behavior for moved product(s):

  • If defined as standard in the database: switches to pegged.
  • If defined as pegged in the database: switches to standard.

This is convenient to quickly move selected product(s) from peg to shelf or inversely.

Left mouse button click on empty zone of visualization area

Deselects the selected item(s) with the following edit tools:

Left mouse button double-click

Fully selects the content of an edit box. For example, to change the text for Application title, double-click in the edit box, then immediately type the new value.

Right mouse button click

Opens a context menu. Such menus are available when the mouse cursor is over various screen elements.

Mouse scroll wheel

Zoom: When the mouse cursor is within the visualization area, scroll your mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

Cycle between tasks: When the mouse cursor is within the task selection area, scroll the mouse wheel to cycle between tasks:

Hold down Middle mouse button + drag

Pan : When the mouse cursor is within the visualization area, use this combination to temporarily pan the view.

Ctrl + Hold down Middle mouse button + drag

Orbit: When the mouse cursor is within the visualization area, use this combination to temporarily orbit the view.

Ctrl + Mouse scroll wheel

When the mouse cursor is within a log text area, use this combination to zoom in and out.
