The task-specific toolbar includes a tool to
create bays. It is described below.
The object editing toolbar and the general
editing commands are also available to edit objects in your
planogram while in this task.
This command puts the new bay in the current
project with the properties set in Parameters (Create
bays).
Instructions:
- Click on Insert the bay the toolbar or
in the main menu > Edit.
- Place your mouse cursor (shown as a specific
insertion cursor) in the visualization area where you want to add
the bay.
- Click the left mouse button to confirm and
create the bay.
The way the bays are placed depends on the
state of Free bay
placement:
- With Free bay placement not
checkmarked:
- If there is no existing bay: the new bay is
centered on the ground.
- If there is one existing bay: the new bay is
placed adjacent to the existing bay, left or right, based on the
cursor position.
- If there are several existing bays: the new
bay is placed adjacent to the existing bays, based on the cursor
position: left, right or in-between, pushing them to make space in
this last case.
- With Free bay placement checkmarked:
the bays are placed at the cursor position on the ground. If there
are other bays at this position, they may overlap.
Tips:
- Use this command several times to create
multiple same bays.
- Just after you have defined and placed the
desired bay in the planogram, it can be useful to save the project
with the empty bay to be re-used as Templates. You can name it for
example "Template bay for store X"; then you just need to drag that
template from Template catalog to
start a new project with the same bay.
- To create new bays, you can also Copy by moving
(Edit bays) from your planogram and then Modify bays to make the
desired adjustments.
- If all parts of your bay have the same color,
it may be difficult to distinguish each component. This problem can
be solved with View edges .
